“Where are you on this journey called life? Are you striding confidently towards your destination while also taking time to stop and smell the roses? Or have you recently started to feel like you’ve lost your sense of direction? Do you find yourself stuck at a crossroads, uncertain of which way to turn, and fearful of making the “wrong” decision? Maybe right now, you are struggling to put one foot in front of another. And are exhausted with all the obstacles in your way.
This life journey is rarely straightforward. Every one of us faces inevitable challenges along the way. Sometimes we can benefit from having a traveling companion to share our stories with, to suggest alternative routes, to catch us when we stumble, and to point out how far we’ve already come. My name is Carol. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in treating anxiety, depression, eating disorders, adult ADHD, emotional abuse, and challenges associated with life transitions. I’d be glad to meet you wherever you are on your journey and to travel alongside you for a while.
As a therapist, I help guide clients through personal challenges using a strengths-based and deeply compassionate approach that draws from various practices, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Helping to ease emotional burdens allows you to achieve a clearer sense of direction while empowering you to uncover your unique potential. With improved clarity and a new perspective, you can head in a new direction or feel more assured that you’re already on the right path.
I moved to the U.S. from England many years ago but still haven’t managed to shake my English accent. Don’t worry, though – my clients tend not to even notice the accent after a while! Growing up with a father in the Royal Air Force, I’ve lived in various countries and cultures, but I’ve put my roots down deep in Denver and am happy to call Colorado my home. In my spare time, you’ll find me socializing with friends, reading, and deep-diving into my latest passion, whether that involves finding unusual beads for jewelry-making or learning how to make silly putty!
I look forward to meeting you!
