Welcome! I am so glad you are here and taking the hardest and most powerful step to start a journey of hope and healing.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I strive to meet you where you are at, build upon what is already working for you, and support you in creating meaningful change in your life. When meeting with me you can expect to receive a warm, validating, affirming, and use of humor relationship to learn effective coping skills, create healthier lifestyle goals, problem-solve life situations, decrease stress, and learn effective ways to recalibrate our mind/body connection with the use of integrated care (PS – it’s amazing how much our guts know!).

My previous experience includes working with adolescents involved in the criminal justice system, working within school systems, and working in private practice in which I solidified skills specializing in treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, childhood trauma, borderline personality disorder, grief, and working with the LGBTQIA+ community, specifically supporting medical and social transition goals of those who identify as transgender. I am qualified to provide letters of support for medical goals by abiding to the WPATH standards of care. I am also certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, which is an evidence-based practice that teaches the understanding of emotions and practical skills to regulate our emotions in our everyday lives.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Shippensburg University in 2015 and then continued on to receive my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Shippensburg University in 2018. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor in both the states of Colorado and Pennsylvania. I adhere to the American Counseling Associations Code of Ethics and stay involved with national organizations to stay up to date with the most effective, evidence-based, therapy practices.

During time outside of the office, my husband, Bernese Mountain Dog, and I enjoy finding any type of adventure that the beautiful state of Colorado has to offer such as hiking, snowboarding, mountain biking, or going on road trips. When I am not on an adventure, you’ll find me snuggled up with my dog, reading, knitting, or escaping into reality TV.

If you feel we would be a good fit to work together, I look forward to sitting as co-pilot alongside your journey while finding the balance of laughter and the hard work to healing.
